I recently rented a car from Sixt, fully expecting a seamless service from such a renowned brand. I made my reservation online, carefully selecting only the prepaid fuel and toll options, and completed my payment accordingly. However, upon picking up the vehicle, I discovered that my contract had been altered without my consent. Unauthorized additions, including personal item coverage and road assistance, had been inserted, while the prepaid fuel option I paid for was removed.
When I addressed this with the Sixt representative at the office, I was met with confusion and an inability to resolve the issue. Despite acknowledging the discrepancy, I ended up being charged an extra $60. This experience is not what I anticipated from a company of Sixt’s stature.
I strongly urge Sixt to review and correct these practices to prevent further inconvenience to customers.
edit after 1 week: They fixed the issue and I changed my review. Thank you.
